Bourne Identity
At the start of the clip it uses a mid-point shot this is so
they can follow the character as well as seeing the police officer behind him.
Continuing from this they use a low angle shot to get the hand cuff in there
and to make the character (Bourne) seem powerful. Next there is a close up this
is to see the character emotions and what they are feeling at this moment they
do this by zooming in on his face to add to the tension. Then it goes to a
point of view shot to show what people are doing this shows people backing away
showing that they are afraid of him and he is a threat making him powerful.
After this it then goes to a bird’s eye view shot to see the fighting easier,
people gasp as they are in shock, music starts to play to add to the intensity.
Subsequently it goes to a point of view shot but it is a high angle shot to
show that the people are vulnerable to the character and they look weak. Also
there is an extreme close up to show what the character is picking up as it is
crucial information for the audience.
21 Jump Street
The first shot in this scene is a birds eye shot just to
simply see the two characters walk in then this goes into a tracking shot to
follow them to their seats so the audience is able to see what they are doing.
Also with this there is some music to make the scene more tense as the lighting
is low and the area looks rough. Next is a mid-shot on different characters
just so the audience knows who is in the scene. After this to a long shot so
you can see the entire scene where the characters are based. Then there is a
shot of another character when he walks in and a tilt shot too, this shows that
he has authority and power. After the character goes on to talk there is a
mid-shot to show the expression on the other characters faces and see their
emotions. Then finally into a long shot to see the other characters listening
to the one on stage. There are many mid-shots of the character on stage this is
to just allow the audience to see who is talking.
Enemy At The Gate
Firstly
there is a close up of one character to show that one character is talking to
another. Also some explosion sounds to make it sound like a war. This character
sounds nervous. Next is a mid-shot to see the character walking towards them to
see his emotions and make the scene look more dramatic. After this there is a
long shot this is so you can see all the positions of the characters and the
scenery around them. Later there is then a point of view shot this is so the
audience is the person behind the gun and allows them to get the feeling of the
situation. After it cuts to a long shot of one of the guards as he looks at the
dead body and this adds tension as the audience get the feeling that he is
about to get caught out, also there is some music with this to add to the
tension. There are a few shots in sequence as the scene ups its pace as the
main character has to hurry up but there are shots like long shot mid shot and
point of view to see all the characters reactions to what is going on and music
starts to turn so you feel like the table has turned and he is now winning the
battle.
